This page explains what Webster Finishes does with your personal information, and what rights you have over it. Last updated 26 August 2026.
Who we are

Webster Finishes is the data controller for the information described on this page.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote for work and carry it out. That is usually:
- Your name, phone number and, if you give it, your email address
- The address or postcode of the property the work relates to
- What you have asked us to do, and any notes, measurements or photographs relating to the job
You give us this when you call, text, email us at toby.webster1@icloud.com or send an enquiry. We do not buy contact details from anyone else.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To carry out the work and invoice you. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To keep business and tax records. Lawful basis: our legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in keeping proper records.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell them.
Who we share it with
We do not share your information with anyone else except where we have to, for example a supplier delivering materials to your address, a subcontractor working on your job, or our accountant and HMRC for tax records. Anyone we share it with only gets what they need for that purpose.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted once they are clearly not going anywhere. Records of completed work, invoices and payments are kept for six years, which is the period HMRC requires for business records.
This website
This site is deliberately simple, and that is good for your privacy:
- No cookies. The site does not set any cookies, which is why you are not being asked to accept any.
- No analytics and no advertising trackers. We do not track who visits, where you came from, or what you look at.
- Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address in order to serve the page to you and to protect the site from attack.
- Fonts. The typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google when the page loads and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to us using it. To do any of that, just contact us using the details above and we will deal with it within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
